It was his birthday eve and all was already taken care of. We went to our favorite rooftop restaurant, wrote something pretty to match the theme “Marry me” in the petals and candles, I booked the photographer and dressed in my best clothes. All the details were meticulously prepped and I did ensure that I didn’t miss a beat! To this date, I still experience goose bumps whenever I reminisce on the moment. It was at eight at night. The terrace was crammed with people.

When Ashish saw me, he knew I was up to something. That was my powerless smile. As he came nearer, I knelt down reciting the words, and for the first time, I was down on my knee and popped the question. To say the least, he was euphoric, cheerful and numb to everything else.
