"Growing up in the lanes of Darjeeling and Shillong, I never imagined I'd be crafting wedding films," muses Arnab Moitra, Director and Editor of Piyali and Rangeen’s Wedding Film.
Piyali and Rangeen first crossed paths in London while boarding flights to the US, where they were heading to the same university. Despite having no contact for two years, fate intervened, and they met again during Durga Puja celebrations in the US. This rekindled connection blossomed into a deep friendship, eventually leading to marriage.
Arnab's inspiration for the film stemmed from Piyali and Rangeen's cultural roots, as they hail from elegant Bengali families in Kolkata and Medinipur. He wanted to infuse the film with authentic Bengali elements, such as adda, poetry, family jokes, and Tagore, celebrating the warmth and vibrancy of Bengali culture.

Arnab is proud of how the film highlights the true Bengali essence, making it one of his favorites. Inspired by its success, he plans to further explore this genre and contribute his unique voice to the wedding film industry in India and abroad.
