“I am from California, and Jeet lives in Pennsylvania. We studied in the same high school in Vadodara, Gujarat, India. Initially, we were just friends, but our bond grew stronger over time. Even after Jeet moved to the US to pursue his graduation, we remained in touch because of the deep connection we felt for each other. It was only after his move that he confessed his feelings for me, and we began a long-distance relationship. I had planned to shift to the US a year later for my studies and to be closer to him. However, things took an unfortunate turn, and we ended up splitting. For a couple of years, we had no communication except for polite birthday greetings. I thought that chapter of my life was closed for good. But then, a single text from him on a random day changed everything.”
