“Anchal and I first crossed paths at BITS Pilani while studying Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Despite being in the same class, it wasn't until the last week of our final year that we had our first conversation. But once we started talking, we were inseparable. During one of our chats, I mentioned my love for photography, and to my delight, I found the perfect muse in Anchal, who brought every scenic spot at BITS to life. Our early morning 6 a.m. photography sessions became the foundation of our relationship, and now, eight years later, we’re ready to say ‘I do!’”

“Though I’m currently based in Delhi and Anchal works in Sydney, the distance and time difference never came between us. I made it a point to visit her in Sydney every two and a half months, and during one of those visits, I decided to propose. I chose the picturesque Manly Beach on a slightly overcast Saturday, hoping for a quiet spot, and luck was on our side. With only two lifeguards as witnesses, a gentle drizzle, and the soothing sound of waves, I got down on one knee and asked the question, only to see the smile that makes my heart race.”

“At first, our plans were all over the place. Anchal and I were searching for a destination that was both unique and adventurous. Dreaming of snow-capped mountains as our backdrop, we considered places near Delhi, including Pokhara (Nepal), Bhutan, Pelling (Sikkim), and even parts of the North East. However, with our shoot scheduled for December, the logistics seemed challenging. Just as we were about to settle for more accessible locations like Delhi or Goa, Nikhil suggested two places that showcase the true beauty of India: Srinagar and Gulmarg. A pre-wedding shoot in Kashmir! It was beyond our wildest dreams!”
