Intimate Pandemic Wedding Inspiration - A Professional Wedding
Misbaah Mansuri and Aadil Contractor’s love story is one of resilience and unwavering commitment. From managing a long-distance relationship across thousands of miles to planning their wedding amid a global pandemic, the couple faced numerous challenges. Yet, with a deep faith in each other, they managed to overcome every obstacle, planning their special day remotely during the lockdown. Their wedding, filled with joy and heartfelt moments, beautifully showcased their enduring love.
How They Met - A Long-Distance Love Story
Misbaah and Aadil’s journey began as teenagers at a coaching class, where their bond was first formed. Reflecting on their love story, Misbaah shares, “We maintained a long-distance relationship for four years after Aadil got a job in Bangkok and later moved to Dubai. The pandemic further tested us as we couldn’t see each other for almost a year after his move. But we persevered, and when Aadil proposed virtually in May, I was over the moon! Despite the lockdown, Aadil managed to fly to India in December, and within a month, we planned our perfect wedding.”
Wedding Planning During Lockdown - A Case Study for Wedding Planners
Planning a wedding in less than a month was no easy task, but Misbaah and Aadil were determined to bring their dream to life. With just a few days before flying back to Dubai, they entrusted the task to experienced vendors they could rely on. Misbaah says, "We had less than a month to plan, and given the pandemic, we wanted an intimate affair for 60-70 guests. To ensure everyone’s safety, we included personalized masks with our initials along with the wedding invite. Although night curfews and COVID-19 restrictions were still in place in December, our vendors were incredible, and I felt reassured that everything could be planned remotely."
For decor and planning, they turned to Ruhee Contractor, with Salt Mumbai handling catering, and TanviTaufu Wedding Tales capturing the moments through photography and videography. Mehendi artist Veena Nagda, and makeup artists Afreen-Makeup & Hair, Makeoverbysania, and Farida Mistry completed the team.
