Anubha and Abhinav’s love story began at an automobile company, where their connection quickly accelerated into something deeper. As their bond grew, it became clear that marriage was the next step. How They Met
Their paths first crossed during an induction session at Toyota Kirloskar Motors. Fresh out of college, Anubha had just started her role in Human Resources, while Abhinav was an engineer in the technical division. Even though they didn’t work closely, sparks flew, and the two soon fell in love. However, their story hit a speed bump when Abhinav received a job offer from Jaguar in the UK, prompting a move abroad.
Distance tested their relationship. Reflecting on the challenge, Abhinav says, “We both agree that long-distance relationships are really tough, but we’ve managed for a year now.” However, when even daily video calls couldn’t bridge the gap, Abhinav knew it was time to propose.

The Proposal
With his heart set on the perfect proposal, Abhinav reached out to The Photo World to help plan a special moment. “I wanted everything to be captured discreetly, so I requested hidden cameras,” he explains. They crafted a meticulous plan, but there was a lighthearted mishap when Abhinav, in his excitement, accidentally sat at the wrong table. “I realized the mistake when the waiter asked us to move because the table was reserved!” he laughs.
Once they settled into the correct spot, the evening flowed smoothly. At the right moment, Abhinav excused himself, and a pre-recorded message he had created for Anubha appeared on the screen. “I was peeking from behind the door, feeling so nervous it was like I was the one being proposed to,” he recalls with a smile.

After the video played, Abhinav emerged with a bouquet and a ring, dropping to one knee to ask Anubha to marry him. “I always imagined what my reaction would be, knowing he’d propose one day. But when it actually happened, I was so overwhelmed, I just kept smiling. I didn’t even say yes at first!” Anubha shares, laughing. “He had to ask, ‘Is that a yes?’ and I finally said, ‘Yes! Of course!’”
Reflecting on the day, Anubha beamed, “The whole experience was magical. I didn’t see it coming at all!”
