Zulfi Syed, a popular model, married Mumbai-based interior decorator Sheena Varma. The Mehndi was held on January 14th at Aurus in Juhu. The morning Nikaah and evening Sangeet cum Reception were conducted the following day at ITC Grand Maratha. According to Sheena, "We didn't want a typical Reception with us greeting guests on a stage, so we decided on a fun and relaxed Sangeet cum Reception."

Sheena donned a Sabyasachi Patiala suit for the Mehndi ceremony and a Manish Malhotra ensemble for the reception party. Her makeup was done by Pallavi Symons. Zulfi donned a Pathani suit for the Nikaah and a Rahul Khanna-Rohit Gandhi sherwani for the reception.
