The duo, who have been organizing the Kowloon Bazaar in Hong Kong, an annual shopping event for the past seven years, are now hosting their first bridal and wedding-focused event. “When you think of NRIs from Hong Kong, you might picture brides visiting couturiers in Mumbai or Delhi for the most exquisite lehengas. Hong Kong brides are indeed a significant clientele for many top Indian designers, but what isn’t widely known is that there are many Indian brides-to-be in Hong Kong who may not travel to India for their shopping. Instead, they may prefer to shop locally,” explain Deepa and Neerja.

Bridal Glitterati will feature over 35 stalls offering a range of products and services such as designer wear, jewelry, accessories, premium gifts, photographers, and invitation cards. “It may take some time to attract more Indian designers to exhibit, but we've received an excellent response from jewelry and accessories designers, as well as other wedding specialists targeting Indian brides-to-be. We hope to organize a larger Bridal Glitterati next year.”

Deepa and Neerja’s exhibitions have a loyal following. Bride-to-be Divya Daswani shared, “I’m getting married in six weeks, and the to-do list is never-ending. Bridal Glitterati is a fantastic idea. Having attended their extremely well-organized bazaars in the past, I’m confident it will be a great help to all those with weddings in the family.” Anita Chainrai, a well-known socialite, added, “These two ladies understand what Hong Kong needs and wants. Not everyone can always travel to India for shopping, so I hope this becomes one of the most exciting events every year.” Deepak Paryani of RS Jewellers Hong Kong, the biggest exhibitor at the event, stated, “We’re launching our new jewelry line, ‘Elite,’ and we look forward to showcasing it to a diverse group of shoppers—those getting married, attending weddings, or simply those who love to shop!” Sarita Sadarangani, who retails creations by prominent designers in Hong Kong, noted, “The organizers have identified a great need; Indians, as well as those who appreciate Indian culture, can shop in a festive environment. After all, everyone enjoys a change from the regular store or mall experience when shopping for new season collections.”
