Prachi & Romil Agrawal’s Luxury Udaipur Wedding Redefined Destination Wedding Planning in India
Held across multiple luxurious venues in Udaipur during June, when the weather shifts quickly from intense heat to humidity, Prachi and Romil Agrawal's grand wedding was meticulously planned with comfort in mind. The three-day celebration was orchestrated by Perfexion Events, who tackled challenges with creativity, ensuring not only stunning events but also sustainability.
Ashish Bohra from Perfexion Events shares, “For a gathering of over 450 guests, we constructed an AC dome, as none of the venues had adequate indoor banquet space. The unpredictable weather and the couple's preference for an outdoor setting led us to build an 80 ft. x 170 ft. air-conditioned dome. It required thorough planning, multiple blueprints, and the expertise of numerous designers. We focused on proper ventilation to make sure the cooling was just as efficient as a traditional banquet hall. Also, to promote sustainability, we avoided cutting trees and incorporated the existing one into the decor, adding grandeur to the setup. The dome was made waterproof and had two sections – the main event space and a buffet area, ensuring guests felt comfortable throughout.”

The festivities began with an open-air welcome dinner, bathed in white hues, where guests enjoyed Rajasthani cuisine while mingling freely. After relaxing, they geared up for the Carnival Lunch the following day at a different venue. Ashish describes the event, “The Carnival Lunch had English vibes, with decor inspired by a popular Mumbai restaurant. It featured fun elements like a rotating ice sculpture of the couple, a wedding hashtag cake, an engagement ceremony, and a glass bell station.”

Racing against time, the team transformed the venue overnight for the next event – the Mehendi and Mayra. “Wedding planning is all about overcoming challenges with grace,” says Ashish. “We had to completely change the decor in 18 hours, with 1,500 laborers working across three venues. Our team was split into three groups to handle the dome transformation, shifting from modern to traditional decor.”

The Mehendi and Mayra were vibrant, with pops of pink and purple, featuring beautiful arches and a minimalistic stage backdrop. The giveaway carts were a hit, offering block-printed dupattas, handcrafted soaps, perfumes, and resin accessories. An ice gola station with over 30 flavors helped guests beat the heat. The function began with the welcoming of guests for traditional Mayra rituals, led by the groom’s side.
