Akshita and Raunak had always envisioned a grand "big fat Indian wedding" with an extensive guest list. However, the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted their plans to host over 500 guests. Adaptable and determined, the couple turned to Wedifys Favorite – DreamzKrraft, who expertly organized their technologically driven nuptials. Despite the challenges, they celebrated their wedding with their loved ones, who blessed them and enjoyed every moment, even from afar.

Prioritizing safety, Akshita and Raunak ensured their family estate in Udaipur was thoroughly sanitized and adapted to meet the current needs. These protocols extended to the entire staff, including planners, photographers, caterers, makeup artists, priests, and hairstylists, all of whom underwent COVID-19 tests, a 14-day quarantine, and traveled by their own cars to the destination.

With DreamzKrraft's assistance, 200 temperature checks and numerous oximeter readings were conducted daily, and each guest vehicle was sanitized upon arrival. Over 100 sanitizer bottles were used, and 12 hands-free sanitizer stations were set up, ensuring the safety and comfort of the 30 family members present.

Trrishant Sidhwaani, director of DreamzKrraft, shared insights into the meticulous planning process. "My team and I quarantined for 15 days before driving to Udaipur. We selected a handpicked, experienced crew of seven, along with my wife Prerita, the Marketing head of DreamzKrraft. All team members and their families tested negative for COVID-19 before the wedding. We incorporated COVID-19 safety measures into our themes, ensuring convenience and fun. For example, Rajasthani folk artists wore masks and had their temperatures checked, and our team pre-allocated and sanitized rooms equipped with immunity kits, sanitizers, and personalized masks.

For the haldi function, we set up an organic haldi and honey giveaway station for an immunity boost. The Basan function featured a DIY face mask counter, popular among the ladies who couldn’t visit their beauticians. The mehndi ceremony was contactless, with guests using design catalogs for inspiration. Raunak even tried applying henna on Akshita’s palms! Heartfelt video messages from family and friends who couldn’t attend were played during this ceremony. For the sangeet, choreographed by Terrence Lewis via Zoom, virtually present family members pre-recorded their performances, which were played for the couple."

Embracing technology, the couple used Virtual Reality to include family members who couldn't attend due to restrictions. Around 300 guests attended virtually, blessing the couple during the rituals. Seven to eight cameras provided a 360-degree view of the venue, making virtual attendees feel present. Meeting links were circulated for each event, and WhatsApp groups facilitated guest interaction. VR sets were shipped to each invitee, enhancing their virtual experience.
