Deriving inspiration from Indian art forms, nature, and their love for Lord Krishna, Brihati and Akshay’s Telugu wedding looked like something out of a storybook. Designed by Wedifys Favorite – Aara Decor and Design, this wedding turned heads with its creative flair and showcase of Indian art forms. Aparna Venkatesh & Saranya Gogineni from Aara Decor and Design shared the couple’s vision and how they brought it to life. They said, “Brihati and Akshay are devout followers of Lord Krishna, and hence, they wanted their wedding to be connected to their beliefs. Plus, they also love greenery! Keeping this in mind, we came up with a Vrindavan theme that was in sync with their interests.”

Featuring different flora, fauna, and art forms unique to India, the wedding looked like something out of a folktale storybook. Consistency in detail was key as the team used a plethora of hues and elements to ensure the guests were transported to a different world the moment they stepped into the venue. Larger-than-life floral arrangements, mirror work pillars, vintage paintings, artistic peacocks and deer, and garlands crafted from traditional Indian blooms completed the decor. For the structures, a cue was taken from the traditional temple architecture of India with ornate pillars and domed roofs. Additionally, Pichwai cutouts featuring Lord Krishna and cows were strategically placed to tie back to the Vrindavan theme.
