When Dinesh’s sister introduced him to her circle of friends, he was instantly captivated by one young woman's smile. Something clicked in his mind, and he decided to send a friend request to Shangita on Facebook. Though she was usually cautious about accepting friend requests from strangers, fate intervened, and she accidentally clicked the 'accept' button. Out of curiosity, she glanced through Dinesh's profile. Something about him impressed her, so she decided it was okay to accept his friendship.

The adventurous sportsman made the first move and introduced himself to the bubbly, fun-loving girl. They started texting each other, and before long, Dinesh mustered up the courage to ask her out. She agreed, and a few months later, Dinesh expressed the depth of his feelings for her. More messages, calls, and dates followed as the two grew close to each other.

Being an adventurous guy himself, Dinesh wanted his proposal to be a memorable moment. He planned it all for Shangita’s birthday, seeking the help of her childhood friends to gather at one of her favorite restaurants. While she thought her dearest friends and Dinesh were there to celebrate her birthday, he surprised her by going down on one knee and proposing. For a moment, she was awe-struck but eventually said ‘YES’! Afterward, they introduced each other to their families, and their loved ones were overjoyed that Dinesh and Shangita had found each other and gave them their blessings.

Dinesh and Shangita followed South Indian rituals at their engagement in the Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple, one of Malaysia’s oldest. With its colorful statues and intricate detailing, the temple provided a stunning backdrop for the bride, who posed beautifully for the cameras before the ceremony. She wore an intricate silk saree with a matching blouse covered in stonework and embroidery, complemented by statement jewelry. The groom wore a traditional Bandhgala that harmonized with his ladylove’s ensemble. Absolutely dashing!

The venue decoration was full of all the fabulous elements of a South Indian engagement ceremony: traditional seating, floral arrangements, and presents for each side of the families. Looking into each other’s eyes, Dinesh and Shangita exchanged rings. The best part of the day was seeing all the smiling faces of their families and friends as they celebrated this beautiful union.
